Chief Engineer | The Space Needle

Space Needle LLC is currently hiring a Chief Engineer join our team.
This position is responsible for:
• Overseeing all aspects of the maintenance department to ensure the safety of
our team members and guests remains our number one priority, including, but not
limited to maintaining all equipment for safe operation.
• All aspects of budgeting for the maintenance department including the
development of the yearly budget and controlling expenses in all areas
throughout the year.
• Acting as a liaison with all state, county and local officials with regards to
permits and inspections, ensuring that the Space Needle is in compliance with
all rules and regulation as they relate to our business.
• Overseeing all facilities team members to ensure that work is assigned
appropriately, completed in a timely manner and that the quality of work
performed is acceptable. Assist crew with daily tasks as needed.
• Supervising the quarterly and/or yearly inspection /evaluation of the backflow
systems, boiler permits, kitchen equipment, exhaust systems, restaurant
turntable, infrared testing on all electrical surface panels as well as the
elevator machine room.
• Obtaining bids, creating timelines and supervising capital and special
projects as needed.
The successful candidate will have:
• Advanced training in a field related to Engineering or Facilities.
• Skill in electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, blueprint reading,
power-driven tools and commercial building controls.
• Fluent computer knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order, Auto CAD
and Project software programs as well as the MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of main building systems or major equipment expected life cycles.
• Availability to work alternative shifts and weekends as needed.
