EER Survey Submission Deadline--Extended to April 16!

Performance Matters! The 2010 EER Survey is now open.
Share your 2009 operating income and expense data today. The survey closes April 16, 2010.

Click here to complete the survey.

Through this survey BOMA collects office building income and expense data and analyzes both local markets and national markets to assess the overall financial performance of office buildings. If you manage an office building, corporate facility or medical office building, please be sure to complete the EER survey.

There are many benefits to submitting data—including free reports to you as well as discounts on EER products. BOMA SPS and BOMA International benefit because EER analyses are used to help inform our work on local, state and federal regulations.

In addition to doing your part for your industry...
Here are 7 great reasons to submit:

1. More comprehensive industry research tools
The EER compiles actual office building income and expenses and relies on
industry practitioners to voluntarily share data with us. In order to offer the most
comprehensive, representative analysis of office building performance in a given
market or for a specific asset type, we need a representative sample—generally
30 buildings or more, depending on the overall size of the market. The more
participants who share their actual performance data , the more accurately the study represents
specific markets and asset types.

2. Better budgeting
More benchmarking data means more accurate budgeting, trending and planning.
And it saves you time by eliminating the need to collect the information from your peers at neighboring buildings.

3. Tools to measure your performance
Only data submitters receive a customized Expense Performance Comparison report comparing your building with
similar buildings in the area in terms of location, size and age.

4. Purchase the EER at discounted rates.
Submitters will be the first to know that the reports are available online. And, though the new online EER will allow purchasers to purchase only the data they need at sharply lower prices than we used to offer for the book or CD, submitters will receive discounts beyond that—up to 30% off.

5. Help the industry help you!
Each year, through our analysis of submitted data, we work to identify trends within the industry that warrant further study and examination. We also work to refine our survey instrument to assure that we’re collecting all the data that industry practitioners need to operate their buildings and their businesses effectively. By sharing data with us, submitters help us to identify and create tools that BOMA uses to advance the industry:

•     By successfully advocating on behalf of the industry on the federal, state and local levels.
•     By providing timely education and training to industry practitioners.
•     By providing research that helps industry practitioners work more effectively.

6. Be part of an important industry tradition.
For nearly 90 years, BOMA’s EER has been the industry’s most trusted resource for operating income and expense information.  No other organization has invested in tracking office building financial performance to the extent that
BOMA has—and it’s all done through industry practitioners who voluntarily share their data with us.

7. Participating is absolutely free—and open to anyone who owns, manages, or operates a
commercial office building in the United States or Canada.
Sharing data is absolutely free of charge, and anyone who owns, manages, or operates a commercial office
building is welcome to share their income and expense performance with us—regardless of whether they
are a BOMA member or not. All data is kept in strictest confidence, and only aggregate results are published.
