Dear South Puget Sound BOMA Members,

It is critically important that we generate as many emails as possible from all members to the Senators listed below, who will be considering a Bill today and voting on it tomorrow.

This bill, if not amended and if passed, would eliminate 25 tax exemptions – one of which is a tax exemption that in certain circumstances avoids application of B & O tax on monies received by a property management company from an owner’s account that reimburses the property management company for on-site personnel wages.

To have an impact we need to generate a few hundred emails today.

Please copy and paste the message below and send it to the list of Senators also listed below as soon as you can today. If you can get others at your firm to do the same – please do.

Feel free to add a few of your own words or change it but the primary message is in the first line.

Dear Senator:

Please strike section 2601 (Property Management Salaries) from SB6873 being considered in the Ways and Means committee.

If this section is passed into law it will result in the loss of jobs in my industry. The existing exemption on reimbursements paid by an owner to a property management company for the wages of on-site personnel exists because this is truly a pass through expense of operating the owner’s property.

Sincerely,
