BOMA Local Marketing Idea of the Month
"Top 10 Lists" September 2008

BOMA Local Representatives,
The season of fall marks the end of summer with a fresh start to football, back-to-school and new enrollees!

After a nice long summer our industry's professionals are ready to regroup and get back to the grind. Statistically, fall brings in a majority of the years total new student enrollees, making the autumn months the season to harvest learning and education revenues.

This month BOMI International has provided the designation "Top 10 Lists" for the BOMA Local Marketing Idea of the Month. These three flyers reveal 10 motivating reasons why industry professionals need their BOMI designation.

·  Top 10 RPA® flyer
·
  Top 10 FMA® flyer
·  Top 10 SMA®/SMT® flyer

Download these flyers and insert your own local BOMA contact information (phone, email, website) as well as your logo. Here are some suggestive ways to distribute&utilize these tools to further promote the designations:

·  At tradeshows&conferences
·
  Networking events
·
  Workshops&seminars
·
  Grass-roots marketing through local businesses
·
Insert in your BOMA Local newsletter
·
Post in an email to an applicable contact list

Spread the word of the power of a BOMI designation and mark fall with new members, new student enrollees and a harvest of education revenues.

Please contact us with questions.

Thank you kindly,
BOMI International Staff

  • Copier:
Using the “standby” button on your copier will lighten your energy load by 70% percent.  It costs about $50 million to power the nation’s copiers annually.  Cut that by 70% percent and save $35 million and enough energy to provide a month’s worth of electricity to more than one hundred thousand homes.

  • Printers:
Print double –sided pages, and use an inkjet if you can. Laser printers use three hundred watts of electricity, while inkjets use only ten.  Workers can save the equivalent of 5 % of all home electricity usage in the United States, or the amount of energy contained in four lightening bolts, by using an inkjet printer instead of a laser printer.  And of course, don’t forget to recycle your ink cartridge.

  • Staples:
Use an eco-stapler, which doesn’t use metal staples, for tasks that require binding five pages or less.  Some 643,000 metric tons of staples are produced annually in the United States.  If one-third of the documents that are stapled could be bound without staples, we could keep nearly a trillion staples out of the trash each year. (If you would like one, UBM can send it to you for free!)
