October  28th Membership Meeting Recap
Thank you to everyone that attended BOMA's October meeting!

-Support Building Engineer’s Single Licensing Through Labor and Industries
-Support State Constitutionally Protected Property Tax Uniformity

Attendees heard about the 2009 BOMA legislative issues and got an update on our BOMA PAC Contributions, Advocacy Day in Olympia, and our fundraising appreciation lunches for key lawmakers in 2008.  Mark Gjurasic educated us on all PAC and other expenditures for all PAC’s in Washington State, Washington State's Political Action Contributions National standing and BOMA’s criteria for making contributions to key lawmakers. We talked about key issues that were important in the 2008 session as well as issues that will impact the real estate industry in the 2009 session to include Transportation, “split roll” taxation as it impacts commercial property and the B&O taxation for onsite property managers.
